Sketch by Clayton Roy Moss, 90, of Indianola, recounting Moss' carrying of a wounded soldier from the field of battle in North Africa on March 30, 1943. Moss was awarded the Silver Star for his gallantry and bravery that day. Moss served as a medic in the 34th "Red Bull" Infantry division. He made sketches of the combat and movements of his unit, visually preserving his wartime experiences.
