Gayla Tighe uses a pair of canes while walking with friend Glenda Criswell inside Indianola High School. Tighe walks the school's halls three times a week as part of her rehabilitation. Last July, Gayla suffered a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed. An accomplished pianist, Gayla has drawn on her faith and made great strides in her rehabiliatation. Now, some eight months later, she is also beginning to play the piano again.
