"Is it red?" Annabelle Costanzo, 12, asks of her mother, Gina, while looking at a set of Christmas lights in the living room of her Polk City home. She is putting her improving eyesight to the test each day since undergoing a cornea transplant in her left eye. She can see blue and red clearly now after only being able to see shades of gray before the transplant. Blind since birth, she has undergone multiple eye surgeries that allow her to see shades of light.
