Dave Marlow, with his dog, Stella, takes in the view from a hillside that was a favorite place for he and his wife, Anna Gardner, to pass time on their rural Boone County property. Anna died last year from a fall. Dave has decided to donate the land to the Iowa National Heritage Foudation in Anna's honor. She was an avid outdoorswoman, conservationist and enthusiast of Iowa's natural environment. "It is our cathedral," Dave says of the land.
