Paul Maple, 57, of Johnston, crouches at the scene of an accident near the intersection of SW 26th and Watrous Avenue in Des Moines. He was performing concrete work when the skid-steer loader he was driving knocked over the utility pole at left, striking his coworker, who later died from his injuries.
